After years of restraining from investments in technology stocks, Warren Buffett, made an exception for the World’s largest tech company and iPhone maker – Apple in 2016. He bought 9.8 million shares of Apple in the first quarter of 2016 increasing it to 61.2 million by the end of 2016.
Over the years, Buffett kept on increasing his stock share making it a total of USD 46.6 Billion stake by the end of June 2018. Apple has been a goldmine for Berkshire Hathaway earning exceptionally good returns for the company. While Buffett sold nearly 3 million shares by the end of 2018 and more 750,650 in 2019, Apple Inc. still remains the largest stock holdings of Berkshire Hathaway.
Apple Inc. certainly seems to be one of the favorite stocks of the ‘Oracle of Omaha’!
